How would your high school participate?

How your high school participates depends on the level of involvement your school is willing to partake. Right now, there are 4 levels of involvement. Regardless of your school's involvement, I would be willing to work with your school to get something going.

Level 1
This is the least amount of involvement. The participating school would simply provide an announcement to let the students know about this service. The school would provide the website information as well as what the website teaches. The students would then take this information and learn on their own independently from the school.

Level 2
This level includes level 1 involvement but also forms an after school support group similar to a school club. At this level, kids are no longer working independently, but work together to help each other learn. There's normally an adult present that could answer some questions as well as provide a guideline on the general learning direction.

Level 3
This level is very similar to level 2 involvement except that a self-study course is put in place where students could earn credit for the work they do on this course. Although this is a self-study course, a teacher should be present to guide the student on the general direction, set competence requirements, and make sure that the student is qualified to earn the credit.

Level 4
This level is very similar to level 3 involvement except that the school also provides a computer lab instead of requiring the student to use their own computers. Instead of a fully self-study course, the classes are held together with a group of students. This would allow the students to work in teams and learn from each other. The teachers in this level would also take a more active role in designing team projects.
