iamar browser window's release note
The iamar browser was designed to enhance The Department of Game Production in providing a development platform (SDK). The SDK is a comprehensive development platform including the iserver, documentation, the 3d academy itself, and a lot of examples. Mostly due to the art work, the package became balky, and takes much longer to download.
But often people may only want the browser without its accessories. If you just want your friends to check out your work, it does not make sense for them to download everything. They will only need the browser. In response to this, we decided to create another package trimming down everything except the browser. The smaller package, obvious the trimmed version. It still retains all of its browser capability, but it is missing the example code as well as the 3d academy. Some of the SDK features such as download video and enter academy buttons are disabled. As a rule, if you only want to browse other people's site, you should download the smaller version. But if you are looking to develop your own site, you should download the full scale SDK.
All the sites you visit are created using the SDK version. The ability to create them is taught by academy. If after seeing the capabilities of this browser, you become interested in developing your own site; you would uninstall the ibrowser version and change it to the sdk version.
